We kick off the 2010 early wedding fair season in grand style next weekend by exhibiting at Hazlewood Castle for the first time.

We’ll be on stall 33 in Restaurant Anise and would love you to stop by and say hi.

We have a new range of albums that we believe truly raise the bar for album presentation, in my 15 years as a photographer I’ve seen nothing that comes close.

We’re also keen to see how we can help couples to get the very best out of their day. In our line of business we come into contact with lots of suppliers, and some of them also offer that extra level of quality and service that we strive to offer all our couples. We now find we have an extensive network of truly fantastic partners.

So we’re asking all you couples out there to give us an hour of your time to tell us about your fabulous plans. We’ll aim to offer suggestions for vendors that can make your big day the party to remember. Even if you already have your wedding photography sorted we’d love to try and help you if we can with these recommendations. Well it’s been a whirlwind year for us here at Mark Skeet Photography. Our most successful year yet, we’ve worked with some amazing models, make up artists and clients. Shed tears at all of our weddings, shared some of the most precious moments in our portrait clients’ lives and of course had a fantastic new addition to our own family.

Well it’s been a hectic few weeks since we last posted. Jemima Poppy joined the Skeet household on Monday 26th October weighing in at 7lb 9oz which, bizarrely, is the exact same birth weight as her big sister Amelia.

Everyone is getting along swimmingly and so sleep deprivation hasn’t been too bad. Not sure Mandy would agree with that though!

We’ve also signed up to exhibit at the Feb 2010 Wedding and Lifestyle Show at the Pavilions, Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate so we look forward to meeting many prospective brides over the course of that weekend.

We’ve also become a Queensberry photographer. Queensberry have long been held as the beacon that is the pinnacle of bespoke photographic albums and so we’re very proud to add their products to our service. Our decision to offer Queensberry’s superior product is proof that we are ceaseless in our efforts to secure the very best products to showcase your story.

Finally, we’ve been very busy designing wedding albums and getting them to our album manufacturer so that they’ll be back in time for Christmas. We also believe we’ve found the most amazing new photo book supplier, talks are at early stages but the product has to be seen to be believed. We’ll make an announcement in the early new year when we have some physical samples to play with.

Yesterday I provided some one to one training to someone who couldn’t make it to our Introduction to Working with Models Workshop, which is going to be held at NTI, on 7th Nov as organised by Exposure Leeds.

I was offering this training as a thank you for her assistance in finding two agency represented models for me who just happened to be friends of hers. Their presence is really going to improve the experience the delegates will have. So Debbie and myself worked with Antonia Child and Jayne Howard yesterday.

The afternoon session at the disused Blackley Brickworks also acted as an introduction for Antonia and Jayne to myself and our way of working on these workshops.

During the 3 hour session we covered one light lighting, as well as background selection, use of architecture as a prop and was primarily focused on getting Debbie some improved images for her portfolio and Antonia and Jayne some images they wouldn’t normally have in their books. As trainer for the day I didn’t shoot that much but did manage to get a few of Antonia and these are set out below.
